Eagle Mountain Parks, Trails, & Open Space Master Plan: The Eagle Mountain Parks, Trails, and Open Space Master Plan set in motion the first-ever Wildlife Zoning Overlay in the State of Utah.

Summary: The Eagle Mountain Parks, Trails, and Open Space Master Plan was an update to the City’s previous plan. Through the public engagement process, city leaders and community interest groups identified the importance of wildlife in the city and verbalized the desire to protect important migration routes. This included the goal to formalize recognition of the Wildlife Migration Corridor(s), as shown in the Master Plan. By adopting the plan, the overlay zone encompasses a broad swath of properties and will require implementation of the minimum corridor width within those properties as they develop.
