This year we are launching the Outdoor Recreation Planning Assistance (ORPA) program to help communities define their outdoor recreation goals! Our program aims to help communities build capacity at the local level by providing planning assistance, stakeholder and community engagement, and defining a plan of action.
We are offering application-based project support and ongoing mini-consultation meetings.
Application-based projects may include:
▫ Community visioning and stakeholder facilitation
▫ Plan coordination and development
▫ Outreach and community input strategies and execution
▫ Trail counter deployment and visitor analysis
▫ Pre-DOR grant application coordination
▫ Field-data collection strategy and support
▫ Conceptual trail design assistance
Mini-Consultations may include:
▫ Site visits or a series of meetings to help you think through your community’s next steps
▫ Connecting you to planning or grant resources
▫ Providing feedback on planning efforts or project goals
