Woods Cross City is seeking a proactive, visionary, and solution-oriented leader and a true public servant, with a strong work ethic, integrity, and a commitment to ethics and full transparency to serve as its next City Administrator. This rare opportunity is available with the projected October 1, 2021 retirement of Gary Uresk, who has served as City Administrator for 28 years. Woods Cross City is located in Davis County, UT, 10 miles north of Salt Lake City and has a population of 11,000 people. The City operates under the council-manager form of government. The FY 2021-22 Budget is $10 million with approximately 36 FTEs.

Position Summary
This is an “at-will” exempt position working under broad policy guidance and direction of the Mayor and City Council. Woods Cross City departments include Police, Public Works, Community Development, Justice Court, Redevelopment Agency (RDA), and Administration. Woods Cross City has the great advantage of being an established City, located in the central Wasatch Front, with a supportive community and cooperation between adjacent cities and service districts. Education and Experience
Graduation from an accredited college with a master’s degree in public administration or related field, and (8) years of progressively responsible experience in municipal management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary Range
Annual starting salary range is between $115,000 and $135,000 (DOQ). Woods Cross City offers a generous benefits package including health, dental, life and short/long term disability insurance. The City participates in Utah Retirement System (URS). Other benefits include sick and vacation leave, holiday pay, and a City provided vehicle and cell phone.
