Good afternoon friends! We’re working with some customers who have been asking us about the 1% state surcharge on building permit fees. As the software company, we just provide the tool, but sometimes we’re asked how things work, and we like to point people in the right direction.

When it comes to this 1% surcharge, I’m trying to find an official resource from the State of Utah on this, and exactly which types of fees this applies to (everybody does this a little different). Does anybody here know where I can get this information? A google search isn’t super helpful, as it gives me pages and pages of city ordinances and fee schedules.
