Michael Maloy, AICP, is Planning Director for Herriman City, one of the fastest-growing communities in Utah, and editor of the Utah Planner, the official newsletter for the Utah Chapter of the American Planning Association. Michael has more than 20 years of professional planning experience in urban and suburban communities. He has presented at various local and national planning conferences, published numerous articles and book reviews, and mentored dozens of urban planning students. Since 2009, Michael has also been an instructor and guest lecturer within the City & Metropolitan Planning Department at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
