Christine Osborne
Uinta and Weber basin coordinator
Utah Division of Water Quality's Watershed Protection Section
Christine Osborne is the Uinta and Weber basin coordinator in the Utah Division of Water Quality’s Watershed Protection Section. She believes that stakeholder engagement and the use of creative, collaborative solutions are essential to watershed health and project success. Her focus includes strategic watershed and communication planning, landscape-scale approaches to project development and implementation, and the integration of social and water quality needs to support watershed resilience in the face of climate uncertainty. Her favorite parts of the job are meeting the people who live and work in her basins and doing field work/trips to learn more about the issues and pressures affecting water quality in those watersheds. When she’s not at work, you can find Christine digging in her garden, hiking, cooking, reading, and trying her hand at urban homesteading.
