Jay Olsen

Jay Olsen is a program manager with the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food in the conservation division. He has worked with the conservation division for the past 10 years. Before coming to the department, he was operating the family farm. He has served on multiple boards and committees at the local, state, and federal levels. He has a broad knowledge of environmental laws and regulations, which led the Commissioner of Agriculture to recruit him to work for the department. He has a bachelor’s degree in animal science and is a lifelong learner. Jay and his wife, Tawny Nelson, are the proud parents of ten children and eighteen grandchildren!
