This is a two-hour event where we are bringing together state, regional, and local partners and community leaders to learn and discuss how we can build healthy communities. Participants will learn about the recently released Healthy Communities Series by the Utah Foundation, the Healthy Utah Community Designation run by Get Healthy Utah and the Utah League of Cities and Towns, and Guiding Our Growth by Utah’s Office of Planning and Budget. Participants will learn about various planning and built environment strategies that can be used to improve active living, access to healthy food, and social connections. Participants will also have the opportunity to share about local challenges and priorities as well as connect with partners and resources during the roundtable discussions. Experts in planning for growth, active transportation, trails and recreation, and open/green space will be part of the regional events.
