APA UT Fall Conference: Award Submissions Now Open

Good News!
The Call for Planning Award Nominations is now live! Help us recognize outstanding people and projects shaping the future of planning in Utah. Submissions are due (updated deadline, June 13).
This year, we’re accepting nominations for the following categories:

Public Outreach Award – Honors plans or projects that meaningfully engaged the public.

Outstanding Plan Awards – Rural, Urban, and Multi-Jurisdiction categories available. Winning plans will be invited to host a webinar or tour in 2026.

Planning Tool or Implementation Award – Recognizes tools or efforts that have created positive change.

George Smeath Planning Student Award – For students demonstrating excellence in planning.

Ted Knowlton Planning Leadership Award – For professionals or elected officials who’ve made significant contributions to planning in Utah.

Morris Johnson Award – Lifetime achievement award for outstanding service to planning.

Gene Moser Award – For non-planners who have made a major impact on planning in Utah.

Gene Carr Award – For excellence in planning education or training.
