Dennis Marker has over 25 years of real estate and community planning experience. He has a degree in geography with GIS/urban planning emphasis from Weber State University and a master’s in public administration from BYU. He’s worked with the Forest Service in Utah and Idaho as well as large and small communities in Utah where fast-paced growth is occurring. He also worked in northeastern Maine for four years with communities managing population loss and recessive economies. He loves community building with a rural and small-town focus. He currently works for Gunnison City, UT as their City Administrator/Zoning Administrator. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and five children as they garden, fish, explore color country, learn history, and drag him across the state for school sporting events.

How did positive public sentiment get checked against financial conservatism and the proverbial band aid approach to maintaining facilities?
