Jennifer McBride has more than 23 years of experience in wildland fire. She currently serves as the Wildland-Urban Interface Program Coordinator for Utah’s Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands. She brings extensive knowledge of fire behavior, fire effects, and hazardous fuel loading to her work. Her career has included work across multiple facets including prescribed fire, and wildfire suppression, wildfire prevention and education, and community outreach. She has developed and delivered programs focused on fire behavior, fire ecology, and ecosystem management, helping both professionals and the public better understand wildfire’s role on the landscape. Jennifer is passionate about solving complex Wildland-Urban Interface challenges, building fire adapted communities, and helping the citizens of Utah stay safe and become more resilient to wildfire and its effects.
