Weston Clark is the current Director of Community Outreach for Mayor Mendenhall at Salt Lake City after having served five years at Salt Lake County working for Mayor Wilson as both a policy advisor and community outreach coordinator. His community work has varied over the years from working in politics, LGBTQ advocacy, and other issues related to equity and education which includes a three-year term as a Salt Lake City Planning Commissioner including one year as the chair. In his previous life to public service, he was a high school teacher where he taught social studies at Viewmont High School. Weston has a master’s degree in city and metropolitan planning from the University of Utah and lives with his husband, two kids, and four dogs in Salt Lake City.
