Spencer Brimley

Spencer W. Brimley is the Assistant City Manager (ACM) for Clearfield City. In his role he helps to strengthen organizational culture, and support the city’s mission of building, “ A Place Where People Want To Be.” Spencer holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning from Arizona State University and a Master’s degree in Real Estate Development from the University of Utah. Spencer has been a part of local government for nearly 20 years, getting his start in Arizona with the City of Apache Junction and now working in Utah for the last 18 years in both the County and City government. Spencer’s background includes land use planning, economic and redevelopment work, prior to being hired as the ACM for Clearfield. He has been able work with amazing people throughout his career, most recently in planning for and supporting Clearfield’s growth. He loves to focus on the people side of local government—building trust, improving collaboration, and fostering innovation within the organization and community. Spencer enjoys opportunities to bringing levity to difficulty conversations and seeks to offer fresh perspectives, while keeping himself grounded and energized. Spencer and his family live in Davis County where he enjoys working in the yard, golf and anything cooked on a smoker.
