Bill Baum

Bill Baum is a senior project director at SIRQ Construction. With over three decades of industry experience, he brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to each project with which he is involved. Bill has spent the majority of his career within the hospitality, entertainment and sports domain, including the management of over $17 billion in projects ranging from CityCenter in Las Vegas, NV to City Creek Mall in downtown Salt Lake City, UT. As an accredited professional with both the United States Green Building Council and the International WELL Building Institute, he is passionate about prioritizing the health and well-being of those in the buildings and public spaces we create. Currently, Bill is serving in his second term as chairman of the Southern Utah Air Quality Task Force, and as the Project Director for SIRQ, oversees the construction activities of the Black Desert Resort Center located in Ivins, Utah. Black Desert Resort will open in phases beginning in October 2024 and will host the first PGA Tour event held in Utah in sixty years, The Black Desert Championship, that same month.

Building construction can be a dirty business. However, good planning and implementation of best practices and requirements to mitigate dust, can certainly help keep our air quality good during and after the construction process. This session will demonstrate how contractors, city officials and government agencies who consistently work together can contribute to preserve the clean and healthy air we all enjoy.
