Downtown Salt Lake City: The Next Chapter

The Salt Lake Tribune and Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute invite you to the next “Storytelling through Data” event, a co-sponsored series of conversations that focus on data-grounded, solutions-oriented dialogue critical to quality of life in Utah.

“Downtown Salt Lake City: The Next Chapter,” promises a lively conversation about where the Capital City stands now and what the future might bring–economically, culturally, environmentally and more.

While the Capital City is experiencing unprecedented growth in development and construction and an influx of new residents, these changes come with challenges. Social, economic, and environmental issues must be addressed if downtown Salt Lake City is to continue to buck the trend of urban decline and instead serve as an example of what is possible for city centers across the nation.

Panel:

Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall

Dee Brewer, Executive Director, Downtown Alliance

Tony Semerad, Innovation Lab Reporter, Salt Lake Tribune

Moderator: Natalie Gochnour, Director, Gardner Institute
