Erika Carlsen

Erika Carlsen is passionate about cultivating joy, compassion, and connection in the communities she serves. She works with the Trust-Based Philanthropy Project, leading efforts to build culture and operational strategies that advance trust-based approaches in philanthropy. Her background includes leadership development, culture-building, and civic engagement, with past roles at Coro Northern California, the Harvard Kennedy School, and Rockwood Leadership Institute. A native Utahn and proud Salt Lake City resident, Erika is active in local organizations, including Spy Hop, and co-founded the Ballpark Action Team, a neighborhood group focused on building collective local power. She holds a BA in Politics from the University of San Francisco and a Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School. Erika is also an alum of the Coro Fellows Program and the Institute for International Public Policy.
