Dave Petersen
Dave has served as Farmington City’s Community Development Director since 1994. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of Utah in 1986 and a Master’s Degree in Planning from the University of Tennessee in 1992. His career began at the MPO in Wichita Falls, Texas, and included work for the cities of Knoxville and Chattanooga during his studies. Dave’s fascination with city growth and development started young. He loved exploring new streets, historic buildings, and changes in his hometown of Bountiful. His passion for cities has defined his career, where he focuses on guiding thoughtful development that balances growth with community character.
