Summary: The Greater Salt Lake Municipal Services District (MSD) is nominating the 2020 Kearns General Plan (and Resilience + Infrastructure Element) for an award for a Comprehensive General Plan. A year-long general plan process resulted in a Plan that is representative of Kearns’ unique needs and desires, is innovative in its approach to land use and resilience planning, and is integrated with regional land use and transportation plans. The success of the Kearns General Plan is already evidenced by community support and implementation efforts that have served to move the detailed vision forward.
